Quality longboard wheels for street, speed, sliding, carving, and all-terrain.

Ghost Boards stocks a huge selection of longboard wheels so you can customize your setup! We offer wheels in various sizes, shapes, and hardness ratings, so you can tailor your board’s setup for specific terrain and riding styles.

“What Longboard Wheels Should I Start With?”

Standard, “do-it-all” longboard wheels that can handle high speeds, carving, tight maneuvering, and sliding all measure 70mm to 72mm in diameter. Our Ghost Boards ship with 72mm wheels to provide the best balance of stability and speed.

Smaller wheels — those measuring 65mm to 69mm — are better for riding crowded streets on smaller boards.

Larger wheels — those measuring 80mm or more — are typically reserved for exclusively riding at very high speeds downhill, and handling rough terrain with bigger boards.

What Longboard Wheel Hardness is Best?

The default hardness for most longboard wheels is 78a. This hardness rating provides good traction and damping when riding over rough roads, while still affording some sliding ability for more advanced riders.

All our in-house Ghost Board Wheels measure 78a hardness. We’ve found this provides the best out-of-the-box experience for our riders!

(What’s The Deal With Shark Wheels?)

Shark Wheels are designed to provide the best of both worlds when it comes to wheel hardness, grip, and speed.

By utilizing a unique tread pattern with three wheel edges instead of one, Shark Wheels are made to reduce friction, promote grip, and improve riding ability over rough terrain by channeling debris through the wheels’ grooves.

We’ve written a FAQ and rider’s review on Shark Wheels covering their purpose and performance in depth. Read it here!
